Footage of the explosion that rocked Iran’s capital, Tehran, and the neighboring city of Karaj on Saturday after Israeli forces reportedly struck several fuel storage facilities, triggering massive fires and thick plumes of smoke have emerged.
A video posted by Al Jazeera via its social media handle which was cited by our correspondent, showed huge balls of fire and towering columns of black smoke rising from the affected areas.
The strikes reportedly targeted multiple oil storage depots located in Tehran and nearby Alborz Province.
This comes amid the escalating tensions in the Middle East involving the US and Israel against Iran.
