The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, Cross River State Chapter, has expressed deep concern over the current socio-economic and security challenges facing Nigeria and, following extensive deliberations, resolved to pass a vote of no confidence in the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The chapter noted that despite promises made to Nigerians, many citizens continue to grapple with rising costs of living, economic hardship, unemployment, inflation, insecurity, and declining purchasing power.
These challenges, according to the chapter, have placed unprecedented pressure on families, businesses, and communities across the country.
The CNPP Cross River State Chapter stated that the welfare of the Nigerian people must remain the primary responsibility of any government and expressed dissatisfaction with what it described as the inadequate response to the nation’s pressing challenges.
The chapter therefore called on the Federal Government to urgently implement policies aimed at reducing economic hardship, improving security, creating employment opportunities, stabilizing prices of essential commodities, and restoring public confidence in governance.
Furthermore, the chapter urged political leaders at all levels to prioritize national interest above partisan considerations and to engage constructively with stakeholders in addressing the country’s challenges.
The CNPP Cross River State Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to democratic principles, good governance, accountability, and the pursuit of policies that will improve the lives of all Nigerians.
Signed:
Mr. Patrick Ali.
State Chairman.
